So I ended up staying at the 9a Loft City Apartment last month when I was in Wrocław for a conference, and honestly, it was one of those finds that kind of surprised me. It’s tucked away on Komuny Paryskiej, which sounds fancy but it’s basically this quiet residential street in Krzyki – not the touristy stuff you’d expect, but that’s what made it cool. The neighborhood has this laid-back vibe, lots of little cafes that locals actually go to, and you’re just a short tram ride from the market square.

The apartment itself is one of those converted industrial spaces – high ceilings, exposed brick, that kind of thing – but it doesn’t feel like they went overboard with the “loft” aesthetic, you know? There’s character without trying too hard. The kitchenette was fully stocked with actual coffee (not just instant), and I appreciated that they left little touches like local guidebooks and a map with handwritten recommendations. The bed was comfortable enough, though the mattress felt a bit firm for my liking. Oh, and if you’re wondering about noise – it’s surprisingly quiet considering it’s in the city center. I mean, you can hear the occasional tram going by, but nothing that kept me up. There’s a courtyard area out back that’s perfect for morning coffee, and I saw a few other guests using it for breakfast.

What really sold me on the 9a Loft City Apartment was how easy everything felt. Check-in was straightforward, the host left clear instructions, and they even recommended this amazing pierogi spot two blocks away that I never would have found otherwise – it’s called Stary Młyn, and trust me, go there. Parking was a bit of a squeeze if you’re driving, but there’s a garage about five minutes’ walk away that’s reasonably priced. The WiFi worked well enough for video calls, which was important since I had to work a couple of hours each day. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m back in Wrocław – it’s not the flashiest place, but it’s got that sweet spot of being stylish without being pretentious, and the location is perfect for exploring the city without feeling overwhelmed by tourists.
