AMJ Apartament Overview

So I stayed at the AMJ Apartament last month, and honestly, it’s one of those places that surprises you in the best way. You know how some hotels look great in photos but feel sterile when you actually get there? Not this place. It’s tucked away on Pomorska Street, which is sort of the sweet spot of Wrocław – not too touristy, but everything’s within walking distance. The building itself is one of those classic Wrocław townhouses, and when you climb up to the apartment, there’s this really nice worn wooden staircase that just screams “this place has character.”

The apartment felt like someone had actually lived there and loved it – I mean that as a compliment. The kitchen had real coffee filters (not those tiny hotel packets), and there were actual spices, not just decorative jars. I made myself breakfast the first morning and just sat by the window watching people walk down Pomorska toward the Market Square. Speaking of which, it’s maybe a 15-minute stroll to the main square, but here’s the thing – you want to go the opposite direction toward the river for the real local vibe. There’s this amazing little bakery called Zapiekka right around the corner that opens at 7 AM, and their cheese-filled pastries are worth setting an alarm for. The AMJ Apartament is on the third floor, so if you’ve got luggage, just a heads up – but honestly, the view from the landing makes it worth it.

What really sold me was how quiet it was at night. You’d never know the street below was pretty busy during the day. The bedroom faces the courtyard, so there’s zero traffic noise, and I slept better there than I have in months. Check-in was smooth – the host met me there around 3 PM, showed me around, and was super helpful about local tips. (Ask them about the best pierogi place nearby – they know the one that tourists don’t know about.) The only tiny thing is that parking’s not included, but honestly, if you’re exploring Wrocław, you probably don’t need a car anyway. I left my rental at the airport and just used the tram system – the stop’s literally two blocks away. The AMJ Apartament has this perfect blend of feeling local while still having all the modern touches you want. There’s WiFi that actually works, a washer if you’re staying longer, and the shower pressure is surprisingly great for an older building. I’d definitely stay again – it felt less like a hotel and more like having a friend in town who lives in a really nice neighborhood.
