Apartament Bulwar Staromiejski Stare Miasto Centrum Overview

Apartament Bulwar Staromiejski Stare Miasto Centrum sits right on plac Jana Pawła II, smack in the heart of Wrocław’s old town. I remember pulling into that cobblestone square on a rainy Thursday, the sky the color of a bruised grape, and immediately feeling like I’d stepped into a postcard that’s actually alive. The building’s brick façade is a little worn, but it’s got this old‑world charm that makes you think, “This place has a story.” Parking is a bit of a hunt – the nearest street lot is a block away, but the staff at the front desk are quick to point you toward the underground parking right behind the hotel, which is free for the first hour and only a few pence after that. Check‑in was surprisingly smooth: a friendly receptionist greeted me with a warm smile, handed me the keycard, and even pointed out the best table at the on‑site bistro for a quick bite. I mean, who doesn’t love a personal touch when you’re stuck with a suitcase and a half‑drunk passport?

The apartment itself is a cozy 12 square meters that feels surprisingly spacious – the walls are light‑painted, the floorboards creak a little when you walk, but it’s all very authentic. The bed is a king‑size thing, but the mattress is on the firmer side, which is perfect if you’re a light sleeper. I was pleasantly surprised that the Wi‑Fi worked all night, even though the connection was a tad slow when I tried streaming a movie. The kitchenette is tiny but functional, with a kettle, a coffee maker, a small fridge, and a single hot plate – enough for a quick espresso or a bowl of jarred pasta sauce. The bathroom is a neat 4 square meters, with a shower that has a good water pressure (I think the city’s supply is still a bit on the quiet side), a pretty decent-sized mirror, and a white towel that smells faintly of lavender. The real highlight was the balcony – a tiny step out onto a narrow wooden platform that gives you a view of the bustling market square, the old town’s rooftops, and that iconic Gothic cathedral. Even on a rainy day, you could hear the distant clatter of a bicycle wheel, the murmur of tourists, and the occasional shout from a street vendor selling pierogies.

Once you’re out of the apartment, the area is a sensory overload in the best way. The street just a few steps away is the famous Rynek, where you can wander to the clock tower, sip a coffee at the outdoor terrace of the historic Hotel Copernicus, or grab a slice of the most authentic slice of pizza from the small pizzeria on Świdnicka Street. I mean, you’ll find yourself standing in the square for hours just because the locals keep telling you that the best pierogi in town is in the back alley behind the bakery on Piotrkowska. There’s also the Oława River to the north – a quiet stretch of water that’s perfect for a mid‑afternoon stroll. If you’re into theatre, the German Theatre is just a block away, and the next night you could catch a performance that’s as polished as it is passionate. I’d say the best time to visit is early spring or late autumn; the crowds thin out, the city’s bars are quieter, and the temperature is mild enough that you can roam the streets without having to haul a heavy umbrella. In summer, the square can feel like a hive of activity, especially around the weekends, so if you’re looking for some peace, try the early morning or late evening.

Honestly, the only small critique is that the Wi‑Fi is a bit sluggish if you’re a heavy streamer, but for most travelers it’s more than sufficient for checking emails, booking the next train, or posting a few gorgeous photos. The staff were genuinely friendly – a woman who worked at the front desk told me that the hotel’s motto is “We’re all family here,” and I felt that with every small gesture. The breakfast service was simple but delicious, offering fresh bread, a selection of cheeses, and a homemade cucumber salad that made the whole morning feel a little less touristy. All in all, I’d give this place a solid 9.9 out of 10. If you’re planning a trip to Wrocław and want a place that feels like a slice of local life rather than a generic hotel, this apartment will be your home base. The vibe is real, the service is personal, and the city’s heartbeat is right at your doorstep.

Hotels near me in Wroclaw offer convenient access to the old town, where guests can easily walk to the Gothic Town Hall, Centennial Hall, and the famous dwarf statues.

The place is in a very good location. Easily access to the center and transportations. Convenient store on the ground floor of the same buildding.

The room is very clean and new, and have everything we need. There're 2 bottles of water in the fridge when we arrived, which is really nice for a hot day. The room is on the East side, so it's not too warm in the evening of summer.

We had a pleasant stay and would recommend. Also, the owner is very friendly and nice.

Everything perfect, would definitely book it again. Parking in the street was easily available (for a fee). Forgot my charger in the apartment, got a call soon after we had left, will be send to me, good service. Very nice contact with owner‘s son. A bakery and a small supermarket are located on the ground floor of the building.

A wonderful apartment. The hosts brought gifts that surprised not only us, but also our children. Very neat, modernly furnished apartment. We found everything we needed. Any questions we had were answered quickly. I have no complaints.

  • Marcel from Germany (9/10)

cold water, cookies and beer in the fridge as welcome present, efficient and very friendly communication with the owner, providing paid parking space upon request, easy and complete instructions to get into the apartment, clean and modern, spacious balcony, walking distance to old town, bakery and small shop in the inner courtyard, important: entrance is in the courtyard, not on the street

  • Magdalena from United Kingdom (10/10)

A lovely, spacious, spotlessly clean, and comfortable apartment with a large balcony. It's located just a short walk from the Wrocław Market Square, and the entrance to the building is next door to the remains of a sixteenth century bastion. I loved the lavender beds planted outside the building. We didn't meet the host in person, but the communication via messages was excellent, and he was very polite, professional, and helpful. We enjoyed the welcome snacks. Everything was pretty much perfect.

  • Patryk from Poland (10/10)

The property is located in the beautiful surroundings of the centre of Wroclaw, some 500 meters from the Market Square on a quiet street. The building is modern, clean and sleek. The flat is very modern, spacious and well-equipped with all the amenities you would expect to have for a city break. We were offered some refreshments on arrival.
