Apartament Central Overview
I just came back from Wrocław and I had to tell you about this place I stayed at—Apartament Central. It’s tucked into that narrow block just off Rynek, right where the old town’s cobblestones meet the modern bustle. The building itself looks like a 19th‑century townhouse, brick façade, a little bit of ivy creeping up the walls. I walked in and the lobby smelled faintly of coffee and warm wood, like a cozy café more than a hotel. The front desk staff were surprisingly friendly, and honestly, the check‑in was almost painless—no long queues, just a quick ID scan and a few friendly questions about my stay.
The room was what I’d call “functional chic.” The decor is a bit dated, but the folks did a decent job of keeping it clean and tidy. I slept pretty well; the noise from the street was muffled by the thick walls, so the only thing that kept me awake was the occasional tram horn echoing through the courtyard. The bed was comfortable, and I liked that the window looked out onto the market square—there were people hawking pierogi and the scent of fresh bread drifting in every morning. The bathroom was a bit on the small side, but it had a decent shower and a surprisingly good water pressure. I did notice the bathroom tiles were a little old, but that was the only real critique. The Wi‑Fi was spotty at first, but after a quick reboot it held steady—great for sending a quick photo to my travel blog.
One thing I really appreciated was how close everything was. From the lobby you can walk to the Wrocław Cathedral in five minutes, and the old town’s cafés and shops are just a few steps away. I could hear the chatter of locals and tourists mixing in the square, and the street musicians playing near the fountain added a soundtrack to my stay. If you’re an early‑bird, the market’s stalls open around 7 a.m., and the square is quiet until the first coffee shop opens. I found that the nights were a bit louder, mostly from the nearby bars and the tram line, but it didn’t bother me too much.
Parking is a bit of a hassle because the street is narrow and mostly for residents, but there’s a paid parking lot about a block away on Rynek –Ratusz. It’s a bit pricey, but you only need to pay for a few hours if you’re staying in a nearby café for lunch. The hotel itself didn’t have a dedicated parking space, but the staff were helpful and could show you where the best spots were. They offered a small discount on the parking meter if you ask, which was a nice touch.
Honestly, Apartament Central felt like a hidden oasis in the middle of the old town. It’s not the most luxurious place—sure, it’s a three‑star hotel, and the rooms are modest—but it’s clean, well‑located, and the staff are genuinely caring. If you’re planning to explore Wrocław’s historic streets, stay there and you’ll have a comfortable base that still feels part of the city’s rhythm. I left feeling refreshed, and I can’t wait to go back next summer. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a local’s apartment rather than a generic hotel, this is it.

Diana was a very nice host and the apartment is very central and very comfortable, really nicely decorated and provisioned. A huge TV, comfortable furniture, broadband speed was excellent. I will observe that although this is about as convenient a location as it gets, right in the middle of the town square, although there are double glazed windows, there is unavoidable late night noise in this lively student and tourist city, so if you might be disturbed by that, just pack some earplugs!
