The neighborhood itself is sort of residential but with these little cafes and shops that feel like they’re run by people who actually live there – there’s this one bakery on Słowackiego that opens at 7am and has the most incredible sourdough.

The apartment was bigger than I expected for the price, with a small kitchen that had all the basics – and I mean actual pans and utensils, not just the sad single fork situation you get at some places. There’s a little balcony that overlooks a courtyard, so it’s not exactly a view of the mountains, but it’s peaceful in the morning. I’d say the only thing is that it gets a bit louder in the evening when people are coming home from work, but nothing crazy – you just want to keep the windows closed after 7pm or so. The bed was comfortable, and the shower actually had good water pressure, which sounds minor but makes such a difference. Honestly, if you’re planning on spending most of your time exploring Wrocław – and you should, it’s a really walkable city – this place gives you a nice, quiet base that’s close enough to everything without being right in the middle of the chaos. I’d definitely stay here again, especially with that parking included.
