Apartament Nowa 12 Overview
Apartament Nowa 12 sits right on the cobbled stretch of Nowa, a lane that feels like a secret alley in the heart of Stare Miasto. If you’re walking from the market square, the hotel’s tiny front door is just a few steps past the bakery that sells the best paczki in Wrocław—honestly, you’ll smell the cinnamon from the oven before you even see the building. You know what? The place feels like a friend’s apartment rather than a chain hotel; the décor is mid‑century modern with a splash of local Polish charm—think hand‑painted ceramic motifs and a small herb garden on the balcony. The street itself is quiet after 9 p.m., though the tram line that runs right outside can bring a few snatches of noise, but not enough to disturb a good night’s sleep if you put the little earplugs the staff kindly offered.
Check‑in here is a breeze. The front desk greets you with a warm smile and a digital key that slides into your phone—no long lines, which is a relief during the summer rush around the festivals on Rynek. The staff are genuinely friendly, and they point out that the nearest bus stop is on Ulica Brzuchowa, just a two‑minute walk away, so you’re never far from the city’s pulse. Parking can be a bit of a scavenger hunt; there’s a small underground lot behind the hotel, but it’s limited. If you drive, I’d recommend parking on the street in the early morning or using a nearby paid garage—just be ready to pull a wheel in the evening when the traffic’s a bit heavier. The rooms are cozy, with a surprisingly plush bed that feels like a hug after a day of exploring. The bathroom has a deep tub that’s perfect for soaking after a long day of walking; the only critique is that the showerhead is a bit old‑fashioned, but the water pressure is solid. Sound-wise, the walls are decent, though the hallway can echo a little when you’re walking to the stairs at night.
When it comes to timing, the hotel shines in the shoulder seasons—late spring and early autumn—because the city is less crowded, and you can stroll to the castle on Ostrów Tumski without holding your breath. In July, the area near the square gets lively, and the noise from street performers can bleed into the hotel’s windows, but the staff are quick to adjust the curtains. If you’re planning a stay in December, bring a scarf; the wind from the river is brisk, and the winter light gives the old brick buildings a golden glow. For foodies, the hotel’s breakfast is a modest but tasty affair: fresh pastries, a selection of cheeses, and a pot of strong Polish coffee that’s strong enough to wake you up in the morning—no fancy health drinks here, just good old-fashioned caffeine. Overall, feels like a home base that blends the historic vibe of Wrocław with practical, thoughtful touches. If you’re after a place where you can step off the tram, smell fresh bread, and feel like you belong in the city, this is the spot.

This is a big apartment – clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The location is great being midway between the old town and the bus/train station.
Cheryl from United States (9/10)
The apartment was very nice, with a separate bedroom and loft, living/dining area and kitchen. Very comfortable. It was relatively well located, about a 15 minute walk from both the main train/bus stations and from the town square.
Robert from Romania (9/10)
Great location, the city center is withing walking distance. Just across the street is a shopping mall where you can buy whatever you need. Parking spaces are available also within waling distance, and the host provided probably the best instructions and a lot of useful information about potential parking locations. The appartment is spacious.
Stephen from New Zealand (10/10)
We have been travelling through Europe for over two months and this is the best accommodation we have stayed in. The apartment is about half way between the railway station and the old town and in a very quiet area. No noise from neighbours. The exterior and common areas are a bit shabby but okay . Even this doesn't detract much from a superb apartment. There was nothing that we required that was not provided and it was very clean. Also it is very good value for the money
