Apartament przy parku Overview
Apartament przy parku sits tucked beside a quiet green strip in Śródmieście, not far from the bustling Rynek and the historic St. Adalbert’s Cathedral. I remember the first time I walked up the cobblestones of Antoniego Wiwulskiego Street – the air was crisp, the smell of fresh bread wafting from a nearby bakery, and the distant hum of city life. Check‑in was surprisingly smooth; the front desk staff greeted me with a friendly “Dzień dobry” and handed over a keycard that opened the apartment with a quiet click. They mentioned the Wi‑Fi password in Polish and English, which was a relief because I was worried about connecting in a foreign country. The lobby itself is modest, but the little touches – a framed photo of the Wroclaw skyline and a stack of local guidebooks – gave it a homey feel.
The apartment, as the name suggests, is right next to a small park that feels like a secret garden in the middle of the city. I woke up to the gentle rustle of leaves and could see the sun filtering through the oaks – a rare find in downtown Wroclaw. The room is clean and functional, with a queen‑size bed that’s surprisingly comfortable for a 3‑star property. The bathroom is compact but well‑equipped; the shower has a solid water pressure, and there’s a decent amount of towels – no shortage of extras. I loved the kitchenette; it had a compact fridge, a single‑pot stove, and a coffee maker that made my mornings feel a little less touristy. The living area is cozy, and the flat‑screen TV is actually a useful feature – I watched a couple of Polish films (the subtitles were a bonus). The only thing I’d tweak is the lighting; the bedside lamp is a bit dim, so a small reading light would be nice.
Parking is a practical question for many travelers. The street parking in the vicinity is free, but you have to be quick – spots are limited, and the traffic can get a bit busy during rush hours. During my stay, I parked on the opposite side of the street, and the meter was generous, so I didn’t worry about late‑night charges. Noise-wise, the apartment is surprisingly quiet. Even though it’s in the city center, the walls seem to do a decent job at muffling the chatter from the squares. I did notice a faint buzz from the subway line that runs near the street, but it didn’t bother me after a few nights. The breakfast situation is decent; the hotel offers a continental spread every morning, but there’s a small café on the corner of Antoniego Wiwulskiego and Szczypcowa Street that serves a mean cappuccino if you’re looking for something extra. I took advantage of it on my last day – the latte was velvety, and the barista knew my name by the third cup!
Timing matters in Wroclaw. I booked during the shoulder season – late October – so the city was lively but not overcrowded. The park was still crisp, and the autumn leaves added a splash of color that made walking to the nearby Wroclaw Zoo or the Jagiellonian University feel like a stroll through a postcard. The hotel itself doesn’t shout “tourist hotspot,” which I appreciated. If you’re heading to the Market Square or the Cathedral, just a five‑minute walk away, you’ll find yourself in the heart of the city without the constant bustle. On the other hand, if you’re traveling with kids or a partner who loves a quiet night in, the apartment’s location offers the best of both worlds – central yet serene.
All in all, for a 3‑star hotel that feels like a home base in the city, delivers more than its rating suggests. The staff are genuinely welcoming, the rooms are tidy and functional, and the proximity to both the park and the city’s main attractions is a win. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone who wants a relaxed, comfortable stay in Wroclaw without the flash of a boutique hotel. Just remember to pack a light jacket for the evenings, keep an eye on the parking meters, and maybe bring a reusable coffee cup – the local cafés are fantastic. You’ll leave with a sense of having truly lived in the city, not just
