You’re literally steps from the Market Square, but here’s the thing – you’re on a side street, so you get all the magic of being in the heart of Stare Miasto without the tourist trap chaos. Kiełbaśnicza itself is this narrow, cobblestone street that’s kind of hidden – locals use it as a shortcut, but most visitors probably walk right past without noticing. There’s this great little bakery, Kredens, just around the corner that serves the most amazing rye bread sandwiches, and honestly, I think I ate lunch there four times during my stay. The apartment itself is on the third floor – yeah, there’s stairs, but it’s totally worth it. No elevator, but hey, that’s character, right? The host met me there and was super chill about my late arrival, which I really appreciated.

What really sold me on Apartament Rynek Kiełbaśnicza was how it felt lived-in, not sterile. The kitchen had actual Polish spices in the cabinets, there were books in Polish and English scattered around, and the bed? Actually comfortable, which you can’t take for granted in European accommodations sometimes. The windows face the courtyard, so it stays pretty quiet even though you’re in the middle of the action – I slept like a baby every night. Check-in was straightforward, and the host left detailed notes about which tram to take to get to the train station (hint: it’s the 0, and it runs until like 2 AM). Parking was a bit of a headache – street parking gets taken quickly in summer, but there’s a garage about five minutes’ walk away that’s reasonably priced. I mean, you’re in the old town, so obviously it’s not like you need a car anyway. The rating of 9.4? It’s legit. Would absolutely stay here again.
