Apartament Tais Overview

Apartament Tais sits on 8 Biskupia in the heart of Stare Miasto, Wrocław, and honestly, it feels like a secret spot that only locals and seasoned travelers know about. The building itself is a low‑rise that blends old‑world charm with modern touches—think crumbling brick facades and a fresh coat of paint that brings the place to life. The lobby is surprisingly spacious for a three‑star spot, with a warm wood counter that feels like a welcome hug. The staff check you in in about ten minutes, and they actually ask if you need anything beyond a towel, which is a nice touch in a city where you’re often rushed through the front desk. The keycard system is straightforward, but if you’re one of those people who forgets your card at the desk, the staff will spin a quick story about their own early‑morning mishaps to lighten the mood.

When you step outside, the street noise is a mix of trams clattering, pigeons honking, and the occasional street performer on the corner of Wrocław’s famous Rynek. It’s the kind of background hum that lets you know you’re in the middle of the city, but the building’s thick walls keep the noise at a comfortable level. The real magic, though, is the courtyard where the rooms open onto a small garden. I found a little wooden bench, and I could sit there for hours, sipping tea and listening to the distant church bells from St. John the Baptist—it’s a sound that’s oddly comforting. The room itself is a clean, minimalist space with a color palette that matches the city’s gray skies. The bed is a solid, supportive mattress that you’ll wake up feeling like you’ve actually slept in a hotel that cares. The bathroom is a bit small but functional; the shower has a decent water pressure that feels like a quick, refreshing blast after a day of walking. I mean, it’s not a spa, but it’s good enough. The kitchenette is surprisingly well-equipped: a mini fridge, a kettle, and a couple of pots that are perfect for a quick breakfast or a midnight snack.

Parking is a little tricky because you’re in the historic center, but there’s a municipal parking lot just a block away on Odrzańska that offers free street parking on weekdays—just watch for the “no parking after 6 pm” signs. If you’re staying in the evenings, the building’s underground parking is a no‑fuss, but it’s a bit pricey. The quiet hours are from 10 pm to 6 am, which is typical for the area, but I found that the hallway lights dim, and the only sounds are the city’s night life filtered through the walls. The check‑out is also a breeze: you just leave the keycard in the room, head out, and you’re free to roam the city again. The only minor critique? The Wi‑Fi password is posted in a handwritten note on the fridge, and you have to read the fine print to figure out the “guest” network, but that’s just a tiny hiccup in an otherwise seamless experience. For anyone who wants to feel like a local, without compromising on comfort, is a spot that knows the rhythm of Wrocław and invites you to stay a little longer.

  • Jiří from Czech Republic (10/10)

The appartment is very nice, 3 rooms with 6 beds, bathroom with massaging bathtube (whirlpool) – great for children and also for adults after all-day walking through the old city. Parking is in the courtyard accessible through the house. The host is very nice too.

  • Monika from Australia (10/10)

Great, spacious and quiet apartment in the inner city of Wrocław. Had everything we needed, very well equipped.

  • Joanna from United Kingdom (9/10)

centralised location, close to old town, shopping centre, necessary shops, bus and tram stops.
It allowed our 6 persons family, very comfortable stay, with freedom of going back and forward to the old town. With temperatures soaring above 30*C it was necessary to have close by shelter.
Property included all necessary equipment for our needs. High pressure shower was such a bonus after walking in intensive heat all day.
