There’s this incredible little bakery on Świdnicka Street – you’ll smell the fresh bread before you even see it – and the owner, this elderly guy who barely speaks English, somehow always remembers what you ordered. The location is also perfect if you’re catching trains because Wrocław’s main station is literally a ten-minute walk, but here’s the thing: you’re far enough away that you don’t get the constant rumble of trains all night, which was a nice surprise. I mean, who actually sleeps well in hotels anyway, but every bit helps, right?

The apartment itself is one of those places where the photos don’t do it justice – and I know that sounds cliché, but seriously. The terrace faces this quiet courtyard where you can actually hear yourself think, which is rare in a city center. I spent way too much time out there with morning coffee, watching locals do their morning routines. The kitchen has everything you’d need, though I’ll be honest, I ended up eating out most nights because the dining scene in Wrocław is incredible – there’s this place called Pasibus that’s just around the corner, serving the most ridiculous portions of traditional Polish food. Check-in was smooth, the staff knew their stuff, and they were honest about the neighborhood (some places try to oversell how “up and coming” areas are, but this felt established and comfortable). Honestly, if I’m ever back in Wrocław – and I probably will be, because I left wanting more time – I’d book Apartment with terrace, next to the train station and OLD town again in a heartbeat. It’s the kind of place that feels like your own little secret once you’ve stayed there.
