The check-in was smooth too; the host met me there and actually took time to explain the neighborhood – not just the typical tourist stuff, but where to grab a decent coffee (hint: Kawiarnia Orient Express is two minutes away) and which streets have the best street art.

You’re maybe a ten-minute walk from Rynek, which is great because you can experience the market square energy without dealing with the hotel crowds that flood the immediate area around it. There’s this little bakery, Chlebeka, just around the corner where the morning smell of fresh bread somehow makes it up to the third floor – small thing, but it made me smile every day. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after 10 PM, which I loved, though if you’re someone who wants to be in the thick of nightlife every night, you might find yourself walking a bit more than you’d expect. Honestly though, the location is perfect for exploring on foot – the walking path along the Odra River is just five minutes away, and you can actually see the Market Hall from one of the windows when the sun hits just right in the morning.
