Grey Studio II Overview
Grey Studio II sits smack in the middle of Wrocław’s Fabryczna district, a spot that’s become a bit of a hidden gem for locals who like to keep it low-key. I fell in love with it on a rainy Thursday in late October, when the city was still buzzing from the Christmas market but the streets had that cool, almost industrial chill that only the fall can bring. The building itself is a former factory with exposed brick and high, airy ceilings that give the place a lofty vibe—no pretentious hotel trappings, just real, honest space.
When I walked in, the front desk was surprisingly friendly. The staff were quick to explain the self‑check‑in system, and the keycard was issued in a sleek, black card that looked almost like a piece of art. I mean, you’d expect a 3‑star hotel to have a simple, quick process, but they added a touch of polish by offering a small bag of local pretzels and a map with hand‑drawn notes on the best coffee spots in the area. There’s a tiny “no noise” sign at the top of the stairs, which turned out to be pretty useful because the building’s close to a tram line. I could hear the clatter of the rails at night, but the rooms were soundproof enough that I didn’t even need earplugs.
The rooms themselves were a mix of old‑world charm and modern utility. I booked a studio—basically a single room with a kitchenette, which turned out to be a lifesaver because I could whip up a quick espresso and a slice of bread after a day of exploring. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the mattress had that perfect, firm feel that keeps you from rolling over all night. The bathroom was small but spotless, with a rain shower that actually made my head feel like it was in a spa. I loved the little details: a local art print on the wall, a small set of towels that smelled like fresh laundry, and a tiny Bluetooth speaker that played a soft playlist of Wrocław folk tunes. It was the kind of place that feels like a home away from home, with enough polish to make you feel like you’re staying in a boutique hotel but without the stuffy corporate vibe.
The real magic, though, is the neighborhood. If you’re up for a stroll, the building’s right on aleja Generała Józefa Hallera, which is a leisurely promenade lined with pop‑up cafés and vintage shops. I’m telling you, there’s a little café called “Café Złoty” just a few steps away that serves the best tarte tatin in town, and the staff always remember your name. The building also benefits from a convenient parking spot tucked under the building—yes, parking in Wrocław can be a nightmare, but this is a relief for those who drive. The area is pretty quiet after 10pm, so if you’re worried about noise, it’s a solid bet. The only thing that could be better is a bit more signage for the tram stations, but honestly, once you’re in the city, you’ll be able to figure it out.
If you’re planning a trip during the summer, expect the streets to get a bit busier, especially around the Market Square, but the hotel’s location still keeps you away from the most chaotic crowds. The best time to visit is late morning or early afternoon—when the city’s alive but not overcrowded, and you can catch the light hitting the brick walls just right. The staff at Grey Studio II are genuinely helpful, so don’t hesitate to ask for recommendations on where to find the best pierogi. All in all, it’s a sweet spot that offers a real slice of Wrocław life without the hype. If you’re after a laid‑back, authentic experience, this place should definitely be on your list.
Wroclaw hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in Poland’s cultural capital, known for its vibrant student life and unique bronze dwarf installations.

I received instructions on how to enter the property when I tried to open the apartment doors they were closed. I tried calling the administrator, but their phone number is not active. I started to write messages, and finally, after the 5th message that the doors are closed and I can not open them, the administrator called me.
She asked me to knock on the door where I should live and it turned out, that other people entered those apartments by mistake without having a reservation. How they entered the building, is an open question. So that couple moved from my booked apartment in 20 min.
Later, I finally moved into the same apartment where people stayed for a few hours. I noticed that it was not clean at all, also, it was visible that somebody lay on a bed. I wrote a message to the administrator with the request to clean the floor and put out the rubbish bin since people who accidentally moved in had already prepared some food and the smell on the property was not the best. But during 4 nights of my stay, nobody cleaned anything!!!
The property is in the backyard, and some drunk guys chill there every evening.Piotr from Poland (5/10)
Instructions to get into the apartment are clear and everything worked to open the doors and get into the flat. The bed was very comfortable.
