So I stumbled onto Harry’s Apartment/centrum/parking during one of those last-minute trips to Wrocław when everything else was either booked or way out of my budget, and honestly? It turned out to be one of those happy travel accidents. You know how some places just feel right from the moment you walk in? That was Harry’s for me. The address is a mouthful – 20 Haukego-Bosaka 26/20/4 in Krzyki – but don’t let that intimidate you because it’s actually easier to find than it looks. Take it from someone who got turned around trying to figure out which Haukego-Bosaka was which (there’s more than one, apparently).

The neighborhood itself is sort of this perfect sweet spot – not quite the touristy Old Town, but close enough that you can walk to most places in twenty minutes or so. I mean, if you’re okay with a bit of a stroll, you’ll find yourself on Market Square without much trouble, and along the way you’ll pass these charming little cafes and bookshops that most guidebooks don’t mention. The area gets quieter as the evening rolls on, which I loved – there’s this one tree right outside that you can hear rustling in the morning, and it’s just peaceful enough that you actually sleep well (which can’t be said for every city center spot). Now, about that parking in the name – it’s legit. I had my little Fiat parked there the whole week and never had any issues, which for Wrocław is saying something because spaces get pretty tight in the older parts of town.

What really sold me on Harry’s was how it felt lived-in rather than showroom-perfect. The apartment had this warm, slightly worn character – like someone’s actually comfortable living there, you know? The kitchen had real coffee filters instead of those tiny instant packets, and there were actual spices in the cabinets, not just empty jars for show. Check-in was smooth but not rushed, and the host gave me tips about a bakery on ulica Świdnicka that locals actually go to – not the tourist trap version two blocks over. I will say the shower pressure could be better, and one of the cabinet doors squeaks when you open it, but honestly, these little quirks just added to the authenticity. It’s rated at 9.9 for a reason, and it’s not because everything’s perfect – it’s because everything that matters is really, really good.
