So I stumbled onto this little gem called Hugo4You Apartments during a weekend trip to Wrocław, and honestly, it’s one of those places that makes you wonder why you’d ever stay anywhere else. Located right on Kołłątaja Street in Stare Miasto, you’re basically dropped into the heart of the old town without all the tourist-trap prices. The building itself is one of those charming pre-war Wrocław structures – you know the kind, with that slightly worn elegance that somehow feels more authentic than anything brand new.

The apartment I stayed in was on the third floor, and while there’s no elevator, trust me, it’s worth the climb. The moment you step inside, there’s this warm, lived-in feeling – like someone actually lives there, not just cleans it between guests. The kitchen had real coffee filters (not those terrible instant packets), and the balcony overlooked a quiet courtyard where you could hear snippets of Polish conversations drifting up from below. That’s actually what I loved most – falling asleep to the gentle hum of the neighborhood rather than some isolated hotel corridor silence. The bed linens smelled fresh, like they’d just been washed that day, and the shower pressure was surprisingly decent for an older building.
