Ibis Wroclaw Centrum Overview
Ibis Wroclaw Centrum sits right on Powstancow Slaskich, a street that feels like a living artery of the city. I stumbled into the lobby after a late‑night lunch at a tiny pierogi place on Szewska, and the first thing that hit me was the smell of freshly brewed coffee mingling with a faint hint of the nearby river. The check‑in was quick—just a friendly receptionist who handed me a keycard and a quick tip about the best tram stop for the Old Town. No fuss, no long lines, just the kind of efficient service that makes you feel ready for the day. (The lobby’s neutral palette and soft lighting make it feel almost like a modern apartment, not a corporate hotel.)
I stayed in a standard single room, and honestly, it had all the essentials without feeling like a snooze. The bed was surprisingly plush; the sheets were crisp and the pillows had that just‑right‑firm feel that keeps you from turning over all night. The bathroom had a decent-sized shower, and the glass door was almost transparent, letting in the city’s evening buzz. I could hear the distant hum of trams and the occasional clatter of a bicycle wheel, a subtle reminder that you’re smack in the middle of the action. The noise was manageable, especially compared to the lively bars on the ground floor—there’s always a bit of chatter, but it’s just the city’s heartbeat, not a full‑on rave. Parking is a no‑go; you’ll need to rely on the city’s parking garages on the outskirts, which are a short cab ride away. But that’s the charm: you’re literally walking to all the main attractions, from the Wrocław Cathedral on the market square to the quirky art installations on Hala Stulecia.
One of the things I loved was the small touches that felt authentically Polish. The minibar had a selection of local beers—like Żywiec and Tyskie—so you could enjoy a quick drink without heading out. The breakfast buffet was decent, with a good spread of fresh bread, local cheeses, and a hot dish that was basically a hearty pierogi soup. I’m not a breakfast person, but the smell alone was enough to make me loosen up. The staff were genuinely friendly; one of the baristas even shared a tip about the best time to visit the Książęca Street market. For locals, the hotel’s proximity to the tram line 5, which drops you off just steps from the University of Wrocław, is a lifesaver. If you’re planning a day trip to the Odra River, the hotel’s 3‑star rating and 8.8 review score feel right on target—good enough for a comfortable stay without the boutique price tag. (And if you’re traveling during the summer, expect the lobby to get warm, but the AC kicks in just in time.)
All in all, I’d say is a solid, no‑frills spot that lets you soak up the city’s vibe without the pretensions of luxury hotels. The value is undeniable—good rooms, practical amenities, and a location that lets you walk to the best spots. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a second home, with a dash of local color and a friendly, efficient service, this is the kind of place that will make you tell your friends, “You know what? I was actually able to get a decent room at a 3‑star price, and I didn’t have to deal with a maze of check‑ins.” And that’s all you really need.

We were very warmly greeted by Peter on Reception who was very helpful and assisted us with booking train tickets for early the next morning. He is an excellent ambassador for Ibis Centrum Hotel.

I really liked staying here! Perfect location for both Old Town and Wroclaw Glowny during an interrailing trip around Poland. Having a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities in the room were a nice touch 👌

The hotel service was very nice! I arrived late at night, and had to wait a while for the check-in (they had nightly reporting). They offered me a free late checkout, which was nice and I happily accepted. The room was clean. I liked the mattress and pillows – they were very comfortable. Funnily, the room was close to the lift, but I didn't hear anything. And I like their green approach – water saving showers, glass bottle. Oh – I love Bracia Sadownicy, so the juice in my room was a surprise 🙂
