Kamienica Pod Aniołami Overview
Kamienica Pod Aniołami sits tucked in a quiet corner of Kazimierza Wielkiego, right where the cobblestones start to thicken and the smell of fresh bread from the bakery on Kościelna begins to drift through the air. The building itself is a charming old stone house (hence the name, “Under the Angels”) that feels like a slice of Wrocław’s past. When I first walked in, the lobby was warm and smelled faintly of roasted coffee – the staff had that little corner café right there, which is a secret for many tourists. Check‑in was surprisingly quick; the front desk lady greeted me with a friendly “Dzień dobry” and a quick rundown of the Wi‑Fi password (it’s a bit quirky, but it works). She also handed me a small map of the Old Town, with a note that the best coffee shop is just a two‑minute stroll down Głogowska, where the barista knows your name after a few visits.
The rooms are modest but cozy, a true 3‑star experience. I stayed in a room on the second floor, so the city noise was muted – just the distant hum of trams and the occasional choir from the cathedral. Inside, the ceiling is low, and the wooden floorboards are so worn they feel like a history lesson under your feet. The bed was comfortable, though the pillows were a bit firm – a small tweak you can request. The bathroom had a surprisingly large shower, and the tiles were a deep slate that looks great under the natural light that pours in from the tiny window. I found the small vintage mirror in the hallway very charming – it’s a nod to the building’s 19th‑century roots.
What really makes this place special is how it feels like a quiet hideaway yet still gives you every practical touch you need. Parking is a bit of a hunt; you’ll have to park on the street and then walk a few minutes to the hotel, but the city’s bike‑sharing system is right next to the entrance, so that’s a lifesaver if you want to explore the Old Town without the hassle of a car. During the summer, the area around Kazimierza Wielkiego can get quite lively, with street performers and the occasional open‑air market – but inside the Kamienica, it’s still an oasis of calm. In the mornings, the first thing you’ll hear is a faint creak of the wooden stairs, followed by the soft chatter of other guests enjoying their breakfast in the courtyard. The courtyard itself is a small garden with a couple of potted plants, and the scent of rosemary and basil lingers in the air – a subtle reminder of the local culinary scene.
Honestly, the best part is the staff. They’re not just service people; they’re almost like local guides who will point you toward the hidden gem of a pastry shop called “Cukiernia Bujak” (just a stone’s throw away) or recommend the best time to catch the sunset from the nearby park by the Oder. The manager, a middle‑aged woman with a quick laugh, even offered a complimentary bottle of local wine on a rainy afternoon. That small gesture added a personal touch that made my stay feel less like a booking and more like a homecoming. The only critique I have is that the elevator is a bit slow, but you can skip it entirely and walk up the stairs – a quick workout and a chance to see the building’s original stonework up close. All in all, offers a genuine slice of Wrocław life, a touch of history, and practical comforts that make it a standout choice for anyone looking to stay in the heart of the Old Town without the usual tourist noise.
Early hotels booking in Wroclaw requires advance planning during peak cultural seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s vibrant arts scene and unique attractions.

Very good location. Just next to the old town. 5min walk to the center of old town.
Pet friendly, there is a green area near to the hotel to walk the dog.
Very small gated parking area (only few places), but we were lucky to reserve 1 place (we had also skibox, so our car height was 2.15m. But there is also some parking garages nearby with height around 1.9m, Music Forum).
Very good breakfast, wide selection salty and sweets.
WiFi wad not the best and the fastest, but it was sufficient. Just choose the network with the strongest signal.Elena from United Kingdom (9/10)
Absolutely super clean and perfect location if you want to be 5 minutes from the centre

The room was good, but no air conditioning. Parking the car was fine. You just have to get to the gate and someone will open it for you. Parking is very safe, since it's behind the gate and within the compound of the hotel. The location was good, because you can just walk straight into the centre of the city. Breakfast was delicious: full of fruit, cakes, croissants, very tasty Polish crepes with different jams, the typical Polish savoury and plenty of coffee and juice. Also, the receptionists are great people, speak very good English and are able to help you getting around the city.

I really like the proximity to the old town and also the good connection with the train station. The breakfast was delicious and the staff super helpful and friendly. They even let me check in a few hours later thanks to unexpected availability of the room already by that time.
Useful hotel also for more than a couple of days since it has a common kitchen and relax area where you can cook or watch TV as well as iron your clothes. I would certainly recommend it!Diana-gabriela from Romania (9/10)
