The rooms are on the second floor, and mine had these original wooden shutters that blocked out the morning light completely, which was a lifesaver after a few too many evenings at Szajnochy 11.

What surprised me most was how neighborhood-y the whole area felt. There’s this little bakery called Piekarnia Świdnicka just two blocks down that opens at 6 AM – grab a warm pastry and coffee and you’re set for the day. I’d say this place is ideal for early fall or spring when you want to walk everywhere but it’s not sweltering hot – summer gets pretty busy with tourists, but even then, being tucked away on this side of Ostrów Tumski keeps things manageable.
