NiceApart near Old Town Overview

So I stayed at the NiceApart near Old Town last month, and honestly, it’s one of those places that surprised me in the best way. You know how sometimes you book something based purely on price and location, and you’re half-expecting to deal with some annoying quirks? Well, this was totally the opposite of that. The apartment’s on Biskupa Tomasza Pierwszego – which sounds fancy but it’s just a quiet street right near the heart of everything – and when I say near Old Town, I mean you can literally hear the church bells from your window, which is both charming and slightly disorienting when you wake up.

The setup here is actually pretty smart: it’s technically a 3-star place, but the apartment felt way more thoughtful than your typical hotel. I mean, there’s a full kitchen with real coffee maker (not one of those sad filter ones), and the bedding was surprisingly decent – I’ve stayed in 4-star hotels with worse mattresses. The windows face the quieter side of the building, so even though you’re in the middle of Wrocław’s historic district, it stays pretty peaceful after 10 PM. Though I should mention – and this might be just me being picky – the shower head is sort of positioned where you have to duck a bit, which got awkward after a long day of walking around. But honestly, that’s such a minor thing.

What really sold me on this spot was how easy everything felt. Check-in was straightforward with the local host who actually gave me proper tips about where to eat – not tourist traps, but places where he’d take his own friends. The location is perfect if you’re exploring on foot; you can walk to the Market Square in like 8 minutes, and there’s this amazing little bakery called “Piekarnia pod Złotym Rogiem” just two blocks away that opens at 7 AM. (Go there for their szarlotka on weekends, trust me.) Parking’s tricky in this area if you’re driving – but honestly, once you’re settled in at NiceApart near Old Town, you won’t want to leave the pedestrian zones anyway. I stayed for four nights and only used the metro once. During my visit, which was in late September, the neighborhood had this perfect rhythm – busy enough to feel alive, but not so crowded that you’re constantly dodging tour groups. The rating of 8.4 totally makes sense; it’s the kind of place that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, which in my book is worth more than any fancy lobby.

Hotel in Wroclaw booking should be done early, especially during cultural festivals when the city hosts internationally acclaimed arts and music events.
