No 22 Old Town Apartment Overview

So I stumbled upon this little gem called No 22 Old Town Apartment during a weekend trip to Wrocław, and honestly, it’s one of those places that makes you rethink staying in traditional hotels. You know how some apartments look great in photos but feel sterile when you actually walk in? Well, this place had that warm, lived-in feeling from the moment I opened the door. The building itself is this charming pre-war structure on Komuny Paryskiej – and if you’re coming from the Main Square, it’s about a 15-minute walk through the old town, which sounds like nothing, but trust me, the cobblestones start talking back to you after a while.

The apartment sits on the second floor, and there’s this narrow staircase with worn wooden steps that creak just enough to remind you you’re in something with character. I mean, the owners could probably fix that, but honestly? It adds to the charm. The bedroom faces the courtyard, which is actually perfect because even though it’s technically right in the city center, it gets surprisingly quiet after 10 PM – just the occasional late-night footsteps and distant tram rattling in the background. The kitchenette is basic but functional (you’ll find the coffee setup is decent, thank god), and there’s this little balcony that overlooks a courtyard where I swear I saw a cat just sitting there judging everyone who walked by – very European.

What really sold me on No 22 Old Town Apartment was how it felt like a proper base for exploring. You’re close enough to everything – there’s this fantastic little bakery called Piekarnia Artopie just two blocks away that does the most incredible sourdough rolls, and if you head toward the river, you can be at one of the better vantage points for sunset in maybe ten minutes. The check-in was straightforward enough; the host met me there and actually gave me some solid recommendations for dinner spots that weren’t overrun with tourists. Parking’s a bit of a conversation – street parking only, and you’ll want to check the signs carefully because some areas get strict after 6 PM, but honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t feel like moving the car anyway. The neighborhood’s got this really nice rhythm to it, especially on Sunday mornings when the market at Hala Targowa gets going – the smell of fresh bread and coffee just drifts through the open windows. I’d definitely come back, especially if No 22 is still available.
