Platinum Sky sits in the heart of Krzyki, right where the old brick buildings meet a surprisingly modern vibe. The building itself looks like a sleepy apartment block, but from the inside it’s surprisingly bright, with a little garden terrace that’s perfect for a mid‑morning coffee while you listen to the city’s buzz. Honestly, the check‑in was a breeze; the front desk team greeted you with a smile and handed you a keycard in one hand and a pamphlet of local spots in the other – you know what, that pamphlet was actually handy.

The rooms are modest but clean, with a small kitchenette that’s great if you’re staying longer. I stayed in a double where the bed was surprisingly comfortable – you’d think a 3‑star would do less, but the mattress had a good spring. The bathroom smelled faintly of citrus, probably from the soap they use; it’s not fancy, but it’s functional. The view from the window? A classic Wrocław cityscape: narrow cobblestone streets, the occasional street vendor peddling pierogi, and the distant silhouette of the Cathedral Bridge. The noise level is moderate – at night the bar on Szczęśliwa street sometimes spills a bit of music into the hallway, but it’s quiet enough for a decent night’s sleep, especially if you’re staying on the higher floors.

Speaking of the bar, it’s actually a great spot to start your evening. They serve a decent selection of local beers and a few international options. The place next door, a tiny café called “Kawa na Rynku”, is a local favourite for its strong espresso and the fact that you can stare at the street through a big window that looks out onto Ulica Piastowska. If you’re looking for a proper meal, the hotel’s own restaurant is fine – think hearty Polish dishes, but the portions are generous. I ordered the pierogi with mushroom and the goulash, and the flavors hit the spot. The staff are friendly, but I did notice that the room service was a bit slow during peak hours – you’d better call ahead if you want something delivered in the middle of the night.

Parking is a bit of a pain. On‑site parking is limited to a handful of spots, and the street parking on Królewska can be pricey, especially during the summer festival when the city is packed. But the location is actually a win if you want to explore the city on foot. From the hotel, you’re a 10‑minute walk to the historic market square, and just a stone’s throw from the Wrocław Zoo and the university campus. I found that walking to the nearby “Młyn Wodny” park was a refreshing break from the city’s heat in July; the river’s breeze and the sound of water made for a perfect photo spot. The hotel’s lobby is a bit dim, but the soft lighting and the scent of fresh linen make it feel inviting.

In short, if you’re looking for a place that feels like a local’s home and not a corporate hotel, fits the bill. It’s not the most luxurious, but it’s practical, clean, and in an area that’s vibrant without being chaotic. I’d recommend staying there if you want to be near the action but still have a quiet, comfortable room to retreat to.   Place wasn’t clean, towels had blood stains. Bathroom dirty, hair everywhere.
  When you turn up at the property there is no reception. We phone the number to be told off that we supposed to phone 20 min before arriving for someone to turn up with a key. Waited 45min, eventually someone turn up.
