You know how sometimes you book something online and it looks great in photos but feels a bit sterile when you actually get there? Not this spot. It’s tucked away on Pomorska Street, which if you’re not familiar with Wrocław, is one of those quieter residential streets that still puts you right in the heart of things – you’re literally two minutes from the Market Square but somehow insulated from all the tourist chaos.

The apartment itself is on the third floor of this charming old building, and there’s actually a really sweet elderly lady who lives on the second floor who said hello every morning – it gave the place this genuine local feel, you know? Check-in was smooth, the host met me right away and walked me through everything, which I appreciated because let’s be honest, nothing kills vacation vibes like fumbling with keys or WiFi passwords. The kitchenette is small but functional – I actually cooked breakfast a couple mornings because there’s a decent little supermarket just around the corner on Kazimierza Wielkiego. And the bed? Seriously comfortable. I’m usually a light sleeper and the neighborhood gets pretty quiet after 10 PM, so I slept better there than I have in months.

What really sold me on Pomorska Apartment was how it felt lived-in rather than staged for tourists. There were little touches like actual books on the shelf, a few local guidebooks (including one in English about Wrocław’s hidden courtyards – super helpful), and the bathroom had this local brand of soap that actually smelled amazing instead of that generic hotel stuff. The shower pressure was solid too, which sounds small but trust me, it makes a difference after a long day of walking. I mean, the only tiny thing is that parking is street parking only – but honestly, if you’re staying here you’re probably walking everywhere anyway. The location is perfect for exploring the Old Town, and there’s this fantastic little café called “Kawiarnia Literacka” just three blocks away where the barista remembered my order by the second day. That’s the kind of place Pomorska Apartment is – it doesn’t try to be fancy, it just gets everything right.
