The apartment itself is on the third floor, so there’s a bit of climbing involved, but trust me, it’s worth it. And here’s something practical that not every listing mentions – street parking is a nightmare, but there’s a decent garage about two blocks away that charges a reasonable 20 zloty a day.

What really sold me on RentPlanet – Apartament Borowska was the kitchen setup. I mean, who am I kidding, I always end up cooking at least one proper meal when I travel, and having a fridge that actually keeps things cold and a stove that doesn’t take forever to heat up made the whole experience so much better. The neighborhood around Krzyki has this understated charm – it’s where locals live, so you get authentic grocery stores like Biedronka where you can stock up on Polish snacks, and there’s even a tiny park about five minutes away where you can sit and people-watch for hours if you’re into that. The bed was surprisingly comfortable too, which sounds like faint praise but after some of the mattress disasters I’ve encountered, it genuinely matters. My only tiny complaint? The shower curtain keeps wanting to billow inward, which is the kind of first-world problem that only mildly annoyed me for approximately thirty seconds before I forgot about it. Honestly, with a 9-star rating, it’s the kind of place that makes you wonder why you ever bother with hotels in the first place.
