RentPlanet – Apartament Jęczmienna Overview

So I stumbled across RentPlanet – Apartament Jęczmienna during one of those last-minute booking panics, and honestly, it turned out to be one of those happy travel accidents. Located right in Wrocław’s Stare Miasto, this place sits on Jęczmienna Street – which, by the way, is one of those charming narrow cobblestone streets that tourists somehow manage to miss even when they’re looking for it. The building itself is nothing flashy, but that’s kind of the point; it’s tucked away quietly, which means you’re getting that authentic Polish neighborhood vibe without the tourist-trap feeling.

The apartment is on the third floor, so there’s a bit of a climb – nothing crazy, but pack light if you’re not used to stairs. What really surprised me was how quiet it was inside. I mean, you’d expect some street noise from the Old Town, but the windows are actually pretty soundproof, and I slept better here than I have in most places. The kitchenette is basic but functional, with a decent fridge and all the essentials you’d need. There’s a small balcony that overlooks the street – perfect for morning coffee while watching locals go about their day. The bathroom is compact but clean, and the shower pressure is actually pretty good, which I always appreciate.

Location-wise, you can walk to the Market Square in about eight minutes, but here’s the thing – if you’re coming from the train station, take the tram. Walking with luggage through the Old Town’s uneven pavement can be a bit of a workout. The neighborhood around RentPlanet – Apartament Jęczmienna has some fantastic little restaurants that don’t show up in guidebooks; there’s this one place called Pod Fredrą just two blocks away that serves incredible pierogi. Check-in was straightforward – the host met me downstairs and walked me through everything. No fancy lobby or anything, but the personal touch was nice. Parking is tricky in this area, as you’d expect, but there’s a public parking garage at ul. Świdnicka 14 that’s about a ten-minute walk away. I stayed here in early October, and it was perfect weather-wise – not too crowded, and the autumn light made everything look magical. The 9.1 rating is well-deserved, I’d say.
