RentPlanet – Apartament Słonimskiego Overview
So I ended up staying at RentPlanet – Apartament Słonimskiego for three nights last month, and honestly, it was one of those finds that really made the trip. I’d been skeptical about booking something in Psie Pole – I mean, it’s not exactly the historic center – but wow, was I wrong. The location is actually perfect if you’re not someplace that needs to be tourist-central all the time. You’re basically right on the edge of the university district, and there’s this great little bakery called Piekarnia Kawiarnia just two blocks down that serves the most incredible morning pastries. The smell hits you every time you leave the building, which sounds annoying but trust me, it’s not.
The apartment itself is on the fourth floor of a solid, no-nonsense building on Antoniego Słonimskiego – the street’s wide and actually pretty quiet, which surprised me. I was expecting more traffic noise, but no, you can hear the occasional tram in the distance and that’s about it. My unit had this huge window that overlooked the neighborhood, and I spent way too much time just looking out at the mix of communist-era buildings and these really charming pre-war apartments that somehow all work together. The kitchen was fully stocked, which saved me from eating out every meal, and there’s a small balcony where you can sit with a coffee – though I’d recommend bringing a jacket even in summer, it gets breezy up there. Check-in was smooth, the host left clear instructions, and there’s underground parking available if you’re driving, which is honestly a lifesaver in Wrocław where street parking can be a nightmare.
What really sold me on RentPlanet – Apartament Słonimskiego was how easy it made exploring the city. You can walk to the university in about ten minutes, or jump on tram 3 or 7 right nearby – the stop Sobieskiego is literally a three-minute walk. I found myself taking day trips to the islands and using this place as a perfect home base. The neighborhood has everything you actually need: a decent supermarket (Biedronka) right around the corner, a pharmacy that’s open late, and there’s even a 24-hour convenience store that saved me when I forgot to grab dinner ingredients. Sure, it’s not the Instagram-perfect location in Stare Miasto, but you know what? For the price and the space you get, plus the fact that it’s genuinely comfortable and thoughtfully put together, I’d absolutely stay here again. The 8.7 rating they have is totally deserved – it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re in on a local secret.
