RentPlanet – Apartament Szczytnicka Overview
So I actually ended up at RentPlanet – Apartament Szczytnicka kind of by accident, but thank goodness I did. I’d been looking for something that felt more like a real apartment than your typical hotel room, and this place delivered in ways I didn’t expect. Located right on Szczytnicka Street in the heart of Śródmieście, it’s one of those spots where you can walk to pretty much everything – I’m talking a five-minute stroll to the Market Square, and there’s this great little bakery called Karnice that serves the most incredible sourdough bread just around the corner. The neighborhood has this perfect balance of being lively but not overwhelming, you know?
The apartment itself is on the third floor, and honestly, I was a bit worried about the stairs since I had luggage, but there’s actually a small elevator that works perfectly fine – though you might want to mention it when booking if you have mobility concerns. When you first walk in, the first thing you notice is how thoughtfully everything is laid out. There’s real art on the walls, not that mass-produced stuff, and the kitchen has actual cooking equipment including spices and olive oil, which was such a nice touch. I ended up making dinner the first night instead of going out, partly because there was a small wine shop called Vinoteka Winiarnia just downstairs that had some excellent local bottles. The bed was incredibly comfortable – I slept better there than I have at home, which says something.
What really impressed me was how quiet it was, especially considering how central the location is. There’s double glazing on all the windows, so even though Szczytnicka can get a bit busy with tram traffic during rush hour, you’d never know it inside. The check-in process was smooth, though I should mention they send you a WhatsApp message with the host’s number, so having an international plan or WiFi calling set up helps. I mean, it’s not complicated, but it’s different from just getting a key at a front desk. The neighborhood around RentPlanet – Apartament Szczytnicka is really walkable – there’s a fantastic farmers market on Saturdays at Hala Targowa that’s only about ten minutes away, and the Sunday morning vibe in this part of Wrocław is just unbeatable. Honestly, if you’re looking for a place that feels authentically local while still being polished and comfortable, this is it. I’d definitely stay here again.
