RentPlanet – Apartament Walońska Overview

So I ended up staying at RentPlanet – Apartament Walońska last month when I was in Wrocław for a wedding, and honestly, it was one of those finds that makes the whole trip better. You know how sometimes you book a place that looks good on the photos but feels a bit off when you actually get there? Well, this was the opposite. The apartment is tucked away on Walońska Street, which is one of those quiet residential streets in Krzyki that tourists usually miss – but locals love it because it’s just a fifteen-minute walk from the market square, and you’re not constantly hearing stag parties stumbling past your window at 2 AM.

The building itself is pretty unassuming from the outside, but once you get inside, it’s actually quite nice. Check-in was smooth – the host met me downstairs and walked me through everything, which I appreciated since I was dragging my suitcase up three flights of stairs. (There’s no elevator, just a heads up.) The apartment felt fresh and clean, with that faint smell of lavender from the cleaning products they use, and the bedsheets were the kind that make you actually want to stay in on a Sunday morning. There’s a small balcony that overlooks a courtyard – nothing fancy, but it gets the morning sun, and you can hear the church bells from St. Elizabeth’s in the distance, which sounds romantic until you realize it’s 7 AM and you’re still half-asleep.

What really sold me on RentPlanet – Apartament Walońska was how it felt like a real neighborhood. The couple next door had a baby that cried a bit in the evening – nothing dramatic, just the usual stuff – and there’s a bakery two blocks down (U Kucharza, if you’re into amazing sourdough) that opens at 7 AM with the most incredible smell of fresh bread. Parking can be tricky if you’re driving, since spaces are limited on the street, but there’s a paid lot about five minutes’ walk away near the train station. I mean, the whole place isn’t perfect – the shower curtain is one of those cheap plastic ones that doesn’t quite stay closed, and the WiFi dropped a couple times during my stay – but honestly, those are small gripes when you’re paying what they charge. Plus, the host left a little guide with restaurant recommendations that locals actually go to, not just places that pay for reviews, and that made exploring the city so much easier. If I’m back in Wrocław, I’d definitely consider staying here again.

Wroclaw’s apartments offer spacious accommodations with historic charm, perfect for families wanting to experience daily life in this colorful Polish cultural center.
