RentPlanet – Apartamenty Księcia Witolda Overview
RentPlanet – Apartamenty Księcia Witolda is tucked right on Księcia Witolda street, smack in the middle of Śródmieście. I remember stepping off the tram and being hit by that familiar scent of freshly baked pierogi from a nearby bakery – a quick detour later, and I was inside this 3‑star slice of polish hospitality. The front desk was surprisingly friendly, though I had to wait a little for my key, which was actually a bit of a hassle with the automated kiosk that kept glitching. Still, the staff cracked a joke about it, and that put me at ease. The building itself is a classic 1970s apartment block, but the lobby has a modern touch with a mural of the Oder River that instantly feels local.
The apartment is a cozy one‑bedroom with a kitchenette that’s just enough for a quick espresso or a bowl of soup. The décor is understated but clean – a neutral palette with a few pops of blue that echo the city’s sky. I love that the windows open onto a quiet courtyard where you can hear the distant clatter of tram wheels and the occasional shout of a street vendor selling grilled kielbasa. The bed is surprisingly comfortable, and the linens feel like a good old-fashioned hotel sheet but with a homey texture. Wi‑Fi is decent, although I noticed the signal dip when the building’s old router tried to juggle a dozen devices at once. The bathroom is small but functional – the shower has a decent water pressure, and the tiles give off a faint minty scent after a shower, which I found oddly refreshing.
When it comes to the neighborhood, you’re literally minutes from the Market Square, the Cathedral, and the lively Wrocław Market Street, where you can find everything from handmade crafts to a local coffee shop that serves the best flat‑white in town. I took a walk to the nearby park, Rungis, and it was a perfect spot for a relaxed evening with a glass of local wine; the trees were starting to shed leaves, so the air had that crisp autumn feel. Parking is a bit of a challenge – the nearest street parking is on the corner of Księcia Witolda and Piotrkowska, and you’ll need a permit or a quick payment at the meter. But if you’re not driving, the tram network is fantastic, and I found the stop just a block away, so getting around is a breeze.
Honestly, the only slight downside I found was the noise from the tram line during rush hour, but the building’s walls hold up pretty well – you barely hear the rumble from the street. Also, the building’s elevator is a bit slow, so you might prefer the stairs if you’re up for it. Overall, RentPlanet feels like a comfortable, no‑frills home base with all the essentials and a few thoughtful touches that make it feel like you’re staying in a friend’s apartment rather than a corporate hotel. The rating of 8.7 is spot on – it’s a solid spot for anyone looking to dive into Wrocław’s culture without splurging on a 5‑star place. And if you’re around during the summer, the courtyard gets a bit hot, so a fan or a breezy window can make a big difference. All in all, it’s a solid pick for a genuine Wrocław experience.
To book hotel in Wroclaw during the famous Wroclaw European Capital of Culture celebrations, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts cultural enthusiasts and architecture lovers from around the world.

Gorgeous apartment. Very clean, loads of storage. Big balcony overlooking the river and views over the Old Town/Cathedral Island. Dishwasher (tablets provided), washing machine, tea and coffee sachets supplied. There was also washing up liquid and scourer pad if needed. Superb location, quiet neighbourhood, just over the bridge from the old town and close to bus/tram stops. Would definitely stay again, great value for money and convenient location.
