So I ended up staying at RentPlanet – Apartamenty Quorum last month when I was in Wrocław for a wedding, and honestly, it was one of those unexpectedly good finds that you kind of want to keep to yourself. I mean, I booked it mostly because it was close to the Old Town and the reviews looked decent, but when I actually got there, there was something immediately welcoming about the place. The building itself is on Sikorskiego Street, which is one of those quieter side streets just off the main drag – you know, the kind where you can actually hear yourself think but still be two minutes from all the action. If you’re coming from the train station, take the tram to Rynek and then it’s literally a five-minute walk through the market square, past the Town Hall, and you’re there.

The apartment I got was a two-bedroom, and it felt way more spacious than I was expecting for a three-star place. The kitchen had all the basics you’d need if you’re thinking of cooking instead of eating out every night – which, trust me, you’ll want to do sometimes because Wrocław’s restaurant scene can get pretty expensive. There’s this little grocery store called Biedronka literally two doors down that’s perfect for grabbing breakfast stuff or wine for the evening. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, and I noticed they’d thought about things like having blackout curtains, which was appreciated since there’s still some street noise, especially on Friday and Saturday nights when people are out enjoying the city. The bathroom was spotless though, and they’d left these little local toiletries that felt nice rather than cheap.

What really sold me on RentPlanet – Apartamenty Quorum was the check-in experience – instead of some impersonal desk situation, this Polish guy named Marek met me and walked me through everything, gave me honest recommendations for restaurants (he specifically told me to avoid the touristy places on Kazimierza Wielkiego Street, which saved me from a terrible meal). The neighborhood itself is sort of residential but with enough foot traffic that it never feels dead. You’ve got that beautiful view of the Market Square just a block away, and there’s a cute little café called Kawiarnia Literacka right around the corner where the coffee is excellent and they have board games if you’re traveling with friends. I will say the parking situation can be tricky if you’re driving – there’s no dedicated lot, but Marek told me about a public garage about six minutes walk away that’s reasonably priced, which was super helpful. Overall, it’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than in some generic hotel box, and with that 9.1 rating, I’m guessing I wasn’t the only one who felt that way.
