RentPlanet – Legnicka Residence Overview
So I ended up staying at RentPlanet – Legnicka Residence during my weekend trip to Wrocław, and honestly, it was one of those pleasant surprises you don’t see coming. I’d been to this part of Stare Miasto before – you know, right near the university area where all the students hang out – and I remember thinking the location looked promising. Well, RentPlanet totally delivered. The building itself is one of those typical Polish apartment blocks from the ’70s that somehow manages to look charming, especially with the courtyard garden they’ve got tucked in the back. You’d never guess there was a whole garden back there from the street, which is Legnicka – actually, make sure you don’t walk past number 38 because it’s easy to miss with all the cafés and little shops clustered around there.
The apartment I got was on the third floor (no elevator, just a heads up) and had this really nice worn-in feeling – like someone actually lives there, you know? Not that sterile vacation rental vibe. The kitchen smelled faintly of coffee and herbs, which I found oddly comforting, and the windows overlooked this quiet residential street where you could hear people chatting on their balconies in the evening. That was actually my favorite part – sitting by the window with a beer around 8 PM, watching the neighborhood wake up for the night. RentPlanet has clearly thought about the practical stuff too; there’s a small supermarket literally two minutes away on Szewska Street, and if you’re into coffee, Kawiarnia Literacka is just around the corner. I mean, you’re still a good ten-minute walk from the Market Square, but honestly, that turned out to be a blessing since all the touristy areas get pretty packed during the day.
Check-in was smooth once I figured out the intercom – the instructions were a bit confusing, but the host responded quickly when I sent a message. Parking’s tricky if you’re driving (and honestly, you don’t need a car for this part of town), but there’s a decent garage about five minutes away. The neighborhood gets quieter after midnight, which I appreciated, though Friday night you could hear some music from the bars down on Kazimierza Wielkiego – not loud, just enough to remind you there’s life happening nearby. I’d definitely stay at RentPlanet again if I’m back in Wrocław; it’s the kind of place that makes a city feel like home rather than just another destination.
