Róża- Lotnisko Overview
So I stayed at Róża- Lotnisko last month and honestly, it’s one of those places that surprises you in the best way. You know how sometimes you pick a hotel based on price and location but end up feeling like you stumbled onto something special? That’s exactly what happened here. The building itself is sort of unassuming from the outside – you’re looking for Władysława Zarembowicza 35, fourth floor, apartment 70 – but the moment you step inside, there’s this warm, lived-in vibe that immediately puts you at ease. The owner, Anna, met me at the door with this genuine smile and I mean, she’s clearly someone who takes pride in what she’s built here.
The room was actually way bigger than I expected for a 3-star place, and there’s this huge window that looks out over Fabryczna – you can see the old industrial buildings mixed with the newer developments, which is kind of cool if you’re into that urban renewal thing. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I loved that they’d left these little touches like locally-made soap and a thermos of coffee for the morning. Bathroom was spotless, though I should mention the water pressure in the shower is a bit… well, Polish, let’s say. You get used to it pretty quickly. What really impressed me was how quiet it was – I was worried about noise since it’s near the airport approach path, but you can’t hear a thing after 10 PM. Actually, the only sound I remember is this gentle hum from the courtyard below, very peaceful.
Location-wise, you’re pretty much perfectly situated if you’re flying in or out of Wrocław – maybe a 15-minute walk to the terminal, or grab the bus right nearby. But here’s the thing that locals would know: there’s this amazing little bakery called Piekarnia Chleb i Wino just two blocks down Zarembowicza that does the most incredible sourdough bread, and honestly, their breakfast was better than anything I had at the Róża- Lotnisko. Speaking of which, Anna actually recommended it when I mentioned I was looking for good coffee – she’s that kind of host who really cares about your experience. The hotel gets pretty busy on weekends with people visiting the nearby Wrocław Stadium for matches, so if you’re coming for that, book ahead. Check-in was smooth, they were flexible with timing, and Anna even helped me figure out the tram system when I got confused about which line goes to the Market Square. Honestly, for 8.9 out of 10, you’re getting way more personality and care than most places charging twice as much.
