Ruska 47/48A Apart Overview
I found myself wandering the cobblestone lanes of Stare Miasto, the old town of Wrocław, when I first spotted the Ruska 47/48A Apart. The building sits on a narrow block between the bustling market square (Rynek) and the quieter, tree‑lined street of Młynarska, so you get a mix of people rushing to cafés and locals strolling in the late afternoon. The front door is a modest, painted white—nothing flashy, but the brass knob feels solid, like it’s been there for a century. Check‑in is a quick, friendly affair; the desk clerk knows everyone’s names by the end of the first call. I mean, she greeted me with a warm “Cześć!” and handed me a key card that’s surprisingly lightweight and sleek.
Parking is a bit of a hack, though. There’s a small, two‑story lot behind the building, but it fills up fast, especially during the summer festivals. You’ll probably have to park on the street—just watch for the local “parkuj proszę” signs. The noise level inside is pretty good; the building’s thick walls keep out the chatter from the square, so you’ll wake up to the subtle hum of traffic and the distant clink of glasses from a nearby bistro. Speaking of that bistro, I stopped by the corner café on Kłodzka Street—great espresso, and the owner knows my name by the third visit. The air outside the hotel is always fresh, with the scent of fresh bread from a bakery on Placki street mingling with the faint perfume of river lilies from the Oder that’s just a few blocks away.
The rooms themselves are a pleasant surprise. They’re decorated in a blend of rustic charm and modern minimalism, with wooden floors that feel warm underfoot. The bed is a generous size—plush enough to curl up on after a long day, but the linens are crisp, giving you that hotel feel without the stale hotel smell. The bathroom, while slightly small, is spotless, and the shower has a strong, steady water pressure that’s a relief after a day of walking. The room’s small balcony (yes, it’s real) overlooks a quiet courtyard, where you can sit with a cup of tea and watch the sunset over the city’s medieval rooftops. Wifi is decent, but I had to reconnect a couple of times when the signal dropped near the wall—just a minor detail that could use a patch.
The staff is genuinely friendly. The housekeeper, Marek, always leaves a handwritten note with a local tip, like “Try the pierogis at Cukiernia Słodka on August 5th.” He’s a legend in the neighborhood, and you know you’ll feel at home with his knowledge. The breakfast area is cozy, with a chalkboard menu that changes daily—today’s special was a homemade goulash, and the broth was so rich it practically sang. I did notice that the hotel doesn’t have a pool or a fancy gym, but that’s not a problem if you’re looking for a quick stay or a base to explore the city. The quiet hours are set at 10 PM, and honestly, that’s pretty reasonable—you can enjoy your night without the alarm of a nearby street performer. Overall, if you’re heading to Wrocław and want a place that feels like a local’s home, is a solid pick, especially during the off‑peak months when the city’s cobblestones are still a bit damp and the cafés are less crowded.

We had a perfect stay with a group of 9 people for 3 nights. The apartment is located in the city centre (5 minutes to walk to the christmas market and the old square town). It was exactly as on the pictures and we had enough space for our group in every room. Another plus are also the two bathrooms. We would choose this apartment everytime again for a stay in Wroclaw.
