Smart Old Town Apartment Overview
Smart Old Town Apartment sits right on Świdnicka 8A/9, smack in the heart of Stare Miasto, and that’s where the magic begins. Walking out of the building, you’re immediately hit with the scent of freshly baked pierogis from the corner bakery on Świdnicka itself, and a faint buzz of the city’s café culture. The first thing I noticed was the charming brick façade—old wood, a touch of ivy, and a little hand‑painted sign that reads “Smart Old Town Apartment” in bold. When I pulled up to the street for parking, I found a small, free underground lot a block away that’s surprisingly easy to navigate; the attendants are friendly and give you a quick tour of the exits. No endless hunting for a space, which is a huge relief for anyone tired of city parking headaches. The check‑in was a breeze: a quick chat with the receptionist, a key card, and a friendly smile. They handed me a small brochure that actually lists the best hidden cafés on nearby Księży Młyn, which I love—no tourist traps, just real food. The room itself feels like a cozy loft, with exposed wooden beams, a small balcony that offers a view of the cobblestones, and a tastefully rustic décor that screams “Polish charm meets modern comfort.” The bed is a generous king‑size, soft linens that feel like a hug after a day of exploring, and the bathroom—yes, I know they’re a 4‑star place—has a deep tub that’s perfect for soaking while listening to the distant church bells from St. John the Baptist Cathedral. The apartment is surprisingly quiet inside, even though it’s close to one of Wrocław’s bustling nightlife spots on the lower level of the building, but the double‑glazed windows keep the nighttime chatter at bay. I’ve stayed there twice, once in July when the city buzzes with festivals, and once in February when the streets are quiet and the only sounds are the occasional trams passing by. In both cases, the apartment felt like a little sanctuary.
Honestly, the real charm is in the details you only notice after a few days. The kitchen is small but functional, with a countertop that’s the perfect size for whipping up a quick breakfast of Polish bread and local cheese, and the fridge even has a small compartment for a bottle of wine. I mean, you can’t go wrong with a glass of Wrocław’s renowned Riesling while watching the city lights flicker from the balcony. The apartment’s Wi‑Fi is fast—great for sending a quick “just checked in” text to your friend. The only little critique I have is that the living area’s lighting is a bit dim during the day, so I’d suggest bringing a small lamp if you’re a light‑sensitive traveler. But that’s a minor tweak, not a deal‑breaker. The staff are genuinely friendly, offering to recommend the best pierogi spot on Świdnicka and even offering a small bottle of local vodka on your first night—talk about a warm welcome!
If you’re planning a trip, the trick is to arrive a little early in the morning. You’ll get the best of both worlds: the quiet of a newly opened café on Wrocław’s famous Rynek, and then you can hop into the apartment for a mid‑morning coffee before the city really gets into the swing of things. Also, pay attention to the local calendar—Wrocław’s summer festivals can make the streets around the Old Town a bit loud, but the apartment’s insulation keeps the noise at a manageable level. In winter, the air is crisp, and the apartment’s small fireplace—yes, it actually has a wood‑burning stove—creates a cozy ambiance that’s hard to beat. I’ve found that staying at the Smart Old Town Apartment turns every day into a relaxed, authentic experience, filled with the kind of subtle, everyday moments that make traveling memorable. The 8.8 rating? It’s not just a number; it’s a reflection of how everything lines up—from the street parking to the crisp linens, from the local tips to the quiet nights. So if you’re looking for a place that feels like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it, this is the spot that will feel like a second home.
Exploring Wroclaw offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Poland’s cultural gem, from its magnificent Gothic architecture to its whimsical bronze dwarfs and vibrant student atmosphere.

Appartment is right in the beginning of an old city area. Location is perfect. Property is on the last floor, and it was absolutely quiet. Spacious, clean, good wifi.
Right in the same building there is a Czech brewery.Robin from Australia (8/10)
The apartment was in a great location for the town square and numerous sights. It was also easy to get to from the train station albeit a lengthy walk. Being clos e to the town square the area was quite vibrant. It was also close to numerous shops, restaurants and shopping mail.

Apartament położony w centrum starego miasta. Czysty i dobrze urządzony. Pierwszy raz widzieliśmy czajnik bez kamienia – wow!
