There’s a supermarket literally two blocks away on Gajowa Street though, so not a big deal. The neighborhood’s actually kind of interesting – it’s got this mix of old villa districts and newer developments, and there’s this great little bakery on the corner that opens at 7 AM with the most incredible sourdough bread. You can smell it from the stairwell in the morning, which sounds weird but trust me, it’s nice.

Check-in was smooth once I figured out the building’s entry system – there’s no lobby or anything, just one of those old-school intercom setups that took me a minute to navigate. The host left detailed instructions though, and they were responsive when I had a quick question about the washing machine. I’d say this place is ideal for someone who wants a base to explore Wrocław without breaking the bank – it’s maybe a 20-minute walk to the Market Square through the lovely Grabiszyński Park, or you can hop on bus 106 which stops right at the end of Birmańska. The area gets pretty quiet after 10 PM, which I appreciated since I was usually up early for calls, but there’s a decent café called Kawiarnia Słowa on Gajowa where you can grab a proper coffee if you need to work outside the apartment. Honestly, if I’m back in Wrocław, I’d probably just book this same spot again – it’s that kind of place that just works without any drama.
