The owner, this wonderfully chatty woman named Kasia, greeted me like I was an old friend rather than just another booking. Check-in was refreshingly low-key; she even offered me a proper Polish coffee (not the instant stuff) while we went over the Wi-Fi password. The room itself was this perfect blend of modern comfort and historical bones – exposed brick walls, a window that looked straight onto a quiet courtyard where you could hear church bells every hour. And let me tell you about the bed – I don’t usually go on about mattresses, but this one had me seriously considering calling my own mattress company to ask what they were using.

Parking was… well, it’s Wrocław, so don’t expect to find a spot right out front, but there’s a garage about three minutes’ walk away that’s reasonably priced if you can navigate the one-way streets. The only slight downside? The shower pressure could be better, but honestly, in a four-star place with a 9.9 rating, that’s the pettiest complaint I could come up with. Breakfast was simple but thoughtful – real bread from the bakery down the street, not that pre-packaged continental stuff you find everywhere else.
