I actually wasn’t sure what to expect from Studio Piłsudski when I booked it last minute for a weekend in Wrocław – you know how it is when you’re scrolling through listings and something just looks right? Well, this definitely delivered beyond whatever I had in my head. Located on the third floor of a beautifully restored building on Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego (which, fair warning, is a bit of a walk uphill from the main square, but honestly worth it), the place has this perfect blend of modern comfort and old-world Polish charm. The check-in was smooth – the host met me right at the door and we chatted for a few minutes about the best pierogi spots in the area, which immediately made me feel like I wasn’t just another booking number.

The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious for what’s technically a “studio” – Studio Piłsudski really nailed the layout. There’s a proper kitchenette with a tiny but functional stove, which came in handy when I wanted to heat up some soup after a rainy afternoon exploring the Panorama Racławicka. The bed faces these gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows that look straight out toward the Market Square – I’m telling you, waking up to that view with morning coffee was probably my favorite part of the whole trip. You can hear some street noise, especially in the evenings when the restaurants below get busy, but it’s not overwhelming and actually adds to the whole “living like a local” vibe. There’s no elevator, just a charming narrow staircase that winds up to the third floor – not ideal if you’re carrying heavy luggage, but hey, it’s character, right?

What really impressed me was how quiet the neighborhood gets after 10 PM – perfect for actually sleeping instead of lying awake listening to party traffic. Studio Piłsudski is just a couple blocks from the famous Dwarf statue tour if you’re into that kind of thing, and there’s this incredible little bakery called “Piekarnia Śląska” literally two minutes away that serves the most amazing rye bread sandwiches. Parking in the area is kind of a nightmare during market days, so I’d recommend just walking or taking public transport if you’re driving in. I mean, the location is fantastic – you’re in Stare Miasto but not right in the tourist circus, so you get the best of both worlds. Honestly, I’ve already started looking at dates to come back.
