Wroclaw Stays – Old Town – Chic Apartments – Jana Pawla 33 Overview
So I ended up staying at Wroclaw Stays – Old Town – Chic Apartments – Jana Pawla 33 mostly because I needed a place that was walkable to the main square, and honestly, it delivered exactly what I was hoping for. The apartment was on the third floor – not so high that you’re climbing forever, but high enough that you get a decent view over the rooftops toward the Market Square. When I say “chic,” they weren’t kidding – the place had this really nice modern Polish design thing going on, lots of clean lines and thoughtful touches like USB ports built into the nightstand and a kettle that actually worked properly, which sounds small but when you’re traveling, it’s everything.
The location is what really sold it for me, though. You step out onto plac Jana Pawła II and you’re literally two minutes from the heart of everything – there’s this great little bakery called Cukiernia Sowa right around the corner where I grabbed coffee every morning, and if you head down Szewska Street, you’ll find some of the best street art in the city. (The gnome statues are everywhere, by the way – keep an eye out for them, they’re easy to miss if you’re not looking.) I will say, if you’re planning to drive, parking is a bit of a headache – there’s no dedicated spot for the hotel, and the street parking gets taken quickly, especially during the summer festivals. But honestly, once I realized how walkable everything was, I didn’t even think about it. The check-in process was smooth, the host left detailed instructions, and there’s a little courtyard area where you can sit if you want to have a quiet breakfast away from the street noise.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it was at night – you’d think being in the old town center, it’d be noisy, but after 10 PM, the area actually gets pretty peaceful. There’s a church bell that chimes on the hour, which I found charming rather than annoying, and the windows blocked out most of the street sounds pretty well. The kitchenette was handy for making tea or storing leftovers from the restaurants nearby – I highly recommend trying Pod Fredro, it’s just a few blocks away and the pierogi there is some of the best I’ve had in Poland. The one small critique I’d have is that the shower water pressure could be better, but it’s one of those things you notice for about five minutes and then forget about. Overall, Wroclaw Stays – Old Town – Chic Apartments – Jana Pawla 33 felt like a good base for exploring the city without feeling touristy, you know? It’s the kind of place where you can tell the owners actually care about the experience, not just the rating.
Apartments in Wroclaw provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Polish markets and cook with regional Silesian specialties.
