The building’s on Kuźnicza Street, which is sort of that sweet spot where you’re close enough to the main square to walk everywhere but far enough away that you’re not drowning in tourist noise all the time. The apartment itself is on the fourth floor – yeah, there’s no elevator, so pack that in your mental luggage – but when you get up there, you’ve got this really nice view over the rooftops toward the Market Square.

The neighborhood’s what really sells it though. You’re basically in the heart of Stare Miasto, so within five minutes you can be at the famous Dwarf Statues that everyone’s always hunting for, or grabbing coffee on Kazimierza Wielkiego Street where the locals actually hang out. There’s this great little bakery called Ekspresjonistów right around the corner that does the best sourdough toast with locally sourced jams – I probably went there four times during my stay. The apartment’s setup is perfect for longer stays, actually; the kitchen’s fully stocked with real pans and spices, not just the bare minimum you get at some places. I cooked most of my dinners there, which saved a ton of money, and the building’s quiet after about 10 PM, so you don’t have to worry about being kept up by party crowds.

Now, let me be real about a couple things – the check-in process was a bit of a misadventure since the host’s office is in a different part of town, so you’ve got to arrange that ahead of time, and the shower pressure could be better. But honestly, for 8.7 out of 10, those are minor gripes. The Wrocław University Apartment feels like it’s run by people who actually live in the city and know what travelers need, not some corporate booking engine. There’s street parking available if you’re driving, though I’d recommend just walking or grabbing the tram from the central stop – it’s way less hassle. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was working on a project or needed a home base for exploring the region. The Wrocław University Apartment doesn’t try to be something it’s not, and that authenticity is pretty refreshing in a city that sees its fair share of tourist traps.
