The studio itself is compact but thoughtfully designed with these warm wood touches and soft lighting that immediately made me want to kick off my shoes. There’s this huge window that looks out toward the Oder River – you can’t quite see the water from your room, but you get these glimpses of the bridges and the tree-lined paths. What really sold me was the morning light that streamed in around 7 AM – perfect for coffee and planning the day’s adventures. The bed was surprisingly comfortable for a studio, and I appreciated small touches like the local coffee they left out and the fact that the shower actually had good water pressure, which sounds basic but isn’t always guaranteed in European accommodations.

Location-wise, you’re walking distance to pretty much everything, but here’s the thing – if you’re coming from the train station, take the tram rather than trying to navigate the one-way streets around Prusa. I learned that the hard way. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after 10 PM, which was great for sleeping, though there was this one evening when a group downstairs was a bit loud – nothing terrible, just something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper. The staff at Wyspa Słodowa Serenity Studio were super helpful about recommending local spots that weren’t in any guidebook – this little pierogi place on Kazimierza Wielkiego that was absolutely incredible. Check-in was smooth, they were flexible about timing, and honestly, the whole experience felt personal in a way that larger hotels just can’t manage. I’d definitely stay here again, especially since it’s so close to the Christmas Market area, which I imagine transforms the whole neighborhood during winter months.
